topos 119 – curated by Copenhagen’s city architect Camilla van Deurs and by Copenhagen – a city that is said to be the poster boy in terms of liveability, walkability, bikeability, human-friendliness, sustainability, and resilience – a city that aims at achieving being CO2 neutral in 2025; that is UNESCO World Capital of Architecture in 2023. The topos magazine edition aims at describing the political and administrative framework for urban development in Copenhagen and focuses on the challenges and efforts that come along with its CO2 goal 2025. The edition will be female: topos wants to highlight the female view upon architecture, urban planning, and city development, wants to give women who shape the city of Copenhagen a powerful voice. The issue looks at how the city’s female architects, urban designers, landscape architects and politicians build and create urban landscapes, urban spaces, a city for people, and at how they identify and tackle urgent urban challenges.
